Jumping off the back of
lizbee's post about the events of Day of the Moon here (which contains spoilers, it should also be pointed out that River Song spent a chunk of her childhood crank calling Richard Nixon from inside a biomechanical space suit and was the person ultimately responsible for starting off the whole business of him recording everything that went on in the oval office, with hilarious consequences for the lasting legacy of the Nixon administration.
Of course this will never get mentioned on the show because the two golden rules of Doctor Who are:
1) At the end of a story the monster is always defeated and
2) What happens in a space suit, stays in the space suit.
